Hey there,

Hope your week is off to a great start and that maybe you are getting close to some time off at the end of the year. I know I am…

One thing to listen to sometime this month is the short podcast from Lewis Howes on letting go of attachment.

It is a good spend of 7 minutes.

IDEA OF THE WEEK…THE “DONE LIST”

First, thanks for the feedback from last week. Based on emails, many of you were going to try the Pomodoro Technique.

Now for the idea…the “Done List”

I got this from James Altucher a while ago, and as simple as it sounds, it really is motivational.

Everyone one knows about a “To Do” list, both the good and the bad. Personally, I use Todoist because it plays nice with some IFTTT automation I use to keep track of things.

But the “Done List” is best done with a pen or pencil and a piece of paper, and the process could not be any easier…just add an item to the “Done List” when you complete something. Does not matter how big or how small, if it was on your “To Do List”, then it belongs on the “Done List” when complete.

Simple, yes, but very motivational. Everyone’s “To Do List” will grow to the horizon if you let it, but the “Done List” is a personal motivational mirror. You should feel a small sense of pride each time you add something to that list, and at the end of the day have a good sense of accomplishment.

Give it a try, and let me know what you think.

Have a great week,

JD
